We believe…
Children learn most of the “social rules” of getting along with others between 2-5 years old. Children who can understand speech and talk like their age peers are more likely to be accepted and fit in.
A strong foundation built early in life continues to hold steady through the later years. This foundation is built by strengthening and encouraging growth and development in all areas of the self: social/emotional, physical, cognitive, communication, and creativity.
Through education and experience with children, we have learned that a child’s play is his or her work. Through a medium of play, many skills are learned. The activities offered at Little Stars Preschool are geared to help the children achieve a solid sense, independence, knowledge and friendship. The positive experience at Little Stars Preschool will create a lifelong love of learning.
Our balanced approach to the school day is structured, yet there is plenty of room and flexibility to allow children to follow their many limits. We are much more concerned about the process and less concerned with the product.
The rewards are many in teaching young children. It is both joyful and challenging. There is as much to learn from a young child as there is to teach. We hope that as teachers and parents we can teach and learn together as we enjoy watching the children grow.
